To end this week, we highlight the 3D model of 3 small wooden jars, stainless steel and glass.

A jar is a container, usually glass, wide opening, very short neck, which can be sealed. It is sometimes called a pot.

Generally in glass, the jar can be according to the use and the time; earthenware, stoneware or ceramic. Among the advantages of glass, we can note the transparency to see its content and the ability to easily disinfect by heating at high temperature.

The lid of jars used for canning has a rubber seal (usually orange, see photo below). It is connected to the pot by a mechanical device that allows to press firmly on the hole to seal the closure.
