Today we present you the 3D model of a plane, that of the Boeing 737.

The Boeing 737 is a family of airliner built by the company Boeing since 1965. It is a twin-engine, single-aisle, short to medium-haul aircraft. It made its first flight on April 9, 1967. There are four generations of Boeing 737. Its main competitor today is the Airbus A320.

It is the most sold airliner in the world, in April 2016 the Boeing 737 had accumulated more than 13,000 orders and more than 9,000 deliveries.

Boeing announces in 1964 to study a new short and medium-haul model, named 737 in addition to the Boeing 727. The Boeing 737 must be half the size of the 727 and capable of carrying 70 to 114 passengers. It is designed to compete with the DC-9 and the BAC-111. Lufthansa is the launch customer of the Boeing 737 with a 21 aircraft contract signed in February 1965. The first flight takes place on April 9, 1967.

The beginnings of the commercial career of the 737 are difficult, the plane sells little and the program is deficit. Boeing will go so far as to consider selling the production line to a Japanese manufacturer.
